We are writing to ask for your help to make the following event a success. We will be holding our annual wiffleball tournament, Wifflemania, on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 10:00am to 8:00pm at Cottel Park in Mason, Ohio. All proceeds from operations of the tournament will benefit The Margaret Peters Memorial Fund. The mission of Wifflemania and The Margaret Peters Memorial Fund is to make a difference in the lives of tri-state area people who have been victims of cancer. Our organization feels that early detection and prevention is a big part of winning the battle against this disease.

We sincerely hope that you do not know anyone who has ever suffered due to some sort of cancer. However, that is highly unlikely since nearly everyone knows of someone who has been afflicted by this disease. We have had personal experience with this disease as we lost our Mother/Wife, Margaret Peters, due to complications from lung cancer in 1992. We host this tournament each year in her honor and to raise funds to help others who are battling cancer.

Each year we have been able to raise thousands of dollars for the cause of cancer thanks to supportive people like you. We are hoping to continue that success with this year’s tournament and that’s where you come in. We are looking for products to be used throughout the day such as food or beverages. We are also looking for door prizes that can be raffled or sold in a silent auction. Would your business or organization be willing to donate item(s) in support of this year’s efforts?
